About Mr. V
The 2023-24 school year represents my 13th year teaching at Our Lady of Fatima! I will be teaching Physical Education, Religion, Health, Computer, Spanish, and Art.
I am in charge of our school's Bowling Club, The Falcon Fitness Challenge, and American Heart Association's yearly event.
I coached the Our Lady of Fatima Soccer Program from 2018-2023, helping with all level of soccer at our school. I currently am an assistant coach for the Our Lady of Fatima Track Program, focusing on sprint running.
I graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2004 with a B.S. in Elementary Education. I earned my PA State Instructional II Certification in Elementary K-6 and am working on my Physical Education certification. Previously, I was a substitute teacher at many Catholic Schools in the Beaver County area. I was a substitute at OLOF, St. Titus School in Aliquippa, St. Johns in Monaca, Mt. Gallitzin in Baden, St. James in Sewickley, and Sts. Peter and Paul in Beaver.
My hobbies consist of spending time with my family, participating and enjoying sports, and finding new teaching strategies that will help students of all grade levels.
Writing is a passion in my life. From 2009-2012 I wrote columns called "From the Desk of Mr. V" on Wrestleview.com and earned praise from people all over the world. I recorded a weekly podcast called The Teachers' Lounge from 2010-2013 and concluded my writing career for TopRopePress.com from 2014-2016.
I happily live in Hopewell Township with my wife of 16 years and blessed to have two wonderful daughters. Adriana (Addy) is currently a Junior at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart and former Our Lady of Fatima Falcon. Addy is currently involved in OLSH's Bowling Program, Forensics, and Musical Theatre. Ariella will be starting 3rd Grade at Our Lady of Fatima and is part of the school's Soccer Program.
If you have any questions about OLOF or how your child is doing in any of my classes, do not hesitate to e-mail me at [email protected] or call at (724) 375-7565. I will respond as soon as possible.
