P.E. Lessons
Physical Education will be taught for Grades K-8 on THURSDAYS.
Please have your child/children follow the dress code policy for Physical Education. This Dress Code was updated last year and will be enforced regularly. Continued violations may result in detention per the dress code policy. In addition, one point will be taken off of your child's participation per each violation of dress code.
Each week students will be graded on their physical education performance from a 10-point system. This does not include just moving around, but also based on proper PE attire, the way the follow the rules of the game and displaying proper behavior. Proper behavior include respecting gym equipment and other members of the PE class, demonstrating a Christ-like attitude to activities, and consistently working as a team to reach an objective.

The Annual Kids Heart Challenge Event (February or March 2024)
In February 2024, I dedicate many physical education lessons to heart awareness. Heart Disease is the leading cause of death in the United States, and as it is our goal at the school to raise money for heart awareness to the American Heart Association (AHA). The weeks leading up to will be a lesson on the importance of exercise and maintaining a "healthy heart".
In 2019 The American Heart Association retired the "Jump Rope for Heart" campaign and are now promoting the "Kids Heart Challenge" in its place. While it still promotes physical health by participating in activities, the AHA is now targeting towards awareness in social and mental health as well. I have a bag of rewards that contain prizes from years past that will I award students who demonstrate good character throughout the year!
Over the past nine years, Our Lady of Fatima helped raise almost $23,000 to the AHA and as a result we received free gym equipment courtesy of US Games and the American Heart Association.
